I made a video with @Kirstyes, to encourage anyone watching the Twitter feed for the Conference to join in with us as we facilitated a Social Media Surgery for the delegates of the Conference.
Here is a short clip showing @Kirstyes showing Tracey how to use Twitter to follow other OTs and keep up with what is being said about the #COT2012 Conference in real time. We made this video whilst waiting for our session to start.
Here is a short video made during the Social media Surgery where I introduce my group and demonstrating how we can integrate new ways of working into occupational therapy practice- in this case, Live-Streaming video to the internet.
I created a second video to show the themes that were identified by the group, namely,
- professional boundaries,
- information about the digital divide
- safeguarding vulnerable groups online
- emerging role for occupational therapists in digital literacy and safety in online spaces
- concern over copyright.
For our reactions after the Surgery, please see my next post: http://claireot.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/reactions-after-the-cot2012-social-media-surgery/
